Our Story: Bringing Ancient Chinese Incense Rituals to Modern Slow Living

I am the brand’s founder. I grew up in Xi’an, China’s ancient imperial capital, surrounded by thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture and gentle Eastern aesthetics. I still remember my family burning simple sandalwood sticks every Chinese New Year; that soft woody scent was the quiet comfort of my childhood.

After college, I moved to Beijing for work, stepping into a fast-paced, high-stress urban lifestyle. For years, my schedule was packed with endless work tasks, leaving me little time to slow down. Like countless modern city dwellers, I lived under constant tension. I often stayed up till 2 a.m. stuck in work emails, my mind racing nonstop even when I lay in bed. Sleepless nights and scattered thoughts became my daily routine. I kept rushing from one task to another, yet felt empty and worn out inside.

After years of mental exhaustion, I realized something simple: progress doesn’t mean pushing yourself nonstop. It means pausing, and finding balance with your own mind.

I started looking for gentle, natural ways to ease my constant stress. That’s when I revisited the traditional Chinese incense craft and ancient herbal blends I knew from my childhood.

Slowly, lighting a stick of natural incense turned into my favorite daily ritual. Whether I was doing short meditation, gentle yoga, reading quietly, or tidying my small apartment, its soft, layered fragrance calmed my racing thoughts and pulled me back to a grounded, peaceful state.

This quiet daily ritual completely shifted how I see traditional Chinese incense—it’s far more than an old custom. It carries an Eastern mindset of slow living and self-care, perfectly suited to ease the mental weight modern people carry every single day.

That’s why I built this brand: to share this gentle millennial Eastern wisdom and slow-living lifestyle with people all over the world.

We don’t just sell incense sticks. We want to hand you a small chance to slow down amid chaotic daily schedules, take a quiet breath, and reconnect with yourself.

It’s a simple little joy I wish every busy person could experience for themselves. May every worn-out soul light a stick of incense, step away from surrounding noise, let go of inner restlessness, and find your own gentle, steady pace of life.
