A Clear, Composed Incense with Dry Spice
The Infant Fragrance takes inspiration from Ying Xiang (婴香), a historical Chinese blended incense known from the Song dynasty.
Its character is clear and composed: mature woody depth meets restrained spice and a cool aromatic lift, while a softer rounded undertone keeps the fragrance from feeling austere.
Quiet rather than enveloping, it works especially well when you want fragrance to accompany concentration rather than become the center of attention.

The Consort’s Smile approaches lychee from a quieter, less familiar direction.
Rather than recreating the sweetness of fresh fruit, the blend uses lychee shell alongside rue, sandalwood, agarwood, and borneol. Dry aromatic woods form the heart of the fragrance, while borneol brings a cool, clear lift. A restrained fruity nuance appears around the edges, adding complexity without becoming overtly sweet.

The Heritage Collection takes inspiration from historical Chinese incense formulas preserved in traditional incense literature. Our floral fragrances take a more contemporary approach, combining flowers and botanical materials with the layered structure of Chinese blended incense. Both are guided by Gentle Still's preference for balanced, restrained fragrance.
Standard sticks are 8.3 in (21 cm) long and burn for approximately 40 minutes. Mini sticks are 4.7 in (12 cm) long and burn for approximately 25 minutes.
Standard is ideal for a longer ritual, while Mini is convenient for shorter sessions, smaller spaces, or exploring a new fragrance.
We do not currently offer individual samples. If you would like to explore a fragrance with a shorter burn time and a lower initial commitment, we recommend choosing the Mini size.
Use a stable, heat-resistant incense holder that supports the stick securely and catches falling ash. Place it on a level, non-flammable surface, away from drafts, curtains, paper, and other flammable materials.
Incense can be enjoyed as part of a daily ritual when used thoughtfully. Always burn it in a well-ventilated area, avoid inhaling smoke directly, and base the frequency of use on your space and personal comfort. Never leave burning incense unattended.
