Nanmu Powder (楠木粘粉) is a natural plant-based binder used in incense making. Its primary role is structural: it helps powdered aromatic materials hold together and form a stable incense stick rather than serving as a dominant fragrance ingredient.

Some materials recorded in historical formulas may be unavailable, uncertain in identity, ethically inappropriate, restricted, or unsuitable for contemporary production. Where necessary, we adapt or omit such materials while preserving the broader aromatic direction and compositional logic of the historical inspiration.

We do not make one vegan or allergen-free claim for the entire collection. Recipes vary, and some ingredient lists include materials such as honey or musk.

Our incense is sold by net weight. Small natural variations in stick thickness and weight can therefore result in slight differences in the number of sticks. Each product page lists the net weight and approximate stick count.

Soft, floral, and gently sweet fragrances tend to feel subtle and approachable. Cool or dry-woody blends can create a clearer, more focused atmosphere, while resinous and spiced compositions generally have a deeper presence.

Standard sticks are 8.3 in (21 cm) long and burn for approximately 45-50 minutes. Mini sticks are 4.7 in (12 cm) long and burn for approximately 25-30 minutes.

Choose Standard for a longer ritual and Mini for shorter sessions, smaller rooms, or exploring a fragrance for the first time.

We do not currently offer individual samples. Mini sizes are the best option for trying a fragrance with a shorter burn time and lower initial commitment.

Place the stick securely in a heat-resistant holder on a stable surface. Light the tip until a small flame appears, then gently blow out the flame and allow the incense to smolder.

Let the first smoke disperse for a few moments before allowing the fragrance to settle into the room.

Use any heat-resistant holder that supports the stick securely and catches falling ash. Keep the holder on a level, non-flammable surface and away from drafts or flammable objects.

Yes. Carefully extinguish the glowing tip in a heat-resistant surface or suitable incense ash, make sure it is fully out, and allow it to cool before storing the remaining stick for later use.

Use incense in a well-ventilated room. Gentle airflow helps prevent smoke from becoming concentrated, but avoid strong drafts that could disturb the ember or spread ash.

Keep burning incense, holders, matches, and ash out of reach of children and pets. Do not allow them to approach or knock over the holder.

If anyone in the room appears uncomfortable or sensitive to the smoke, extinguish the incense and ventilate the space.

Opened or used incense cannot be returned for change-of-mind reasons.

For an eligible change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return results from an error on our part.

Contact us as soon as possible and include your order number plus clear photographs of the product and packaging.

After reviewing the issue, we may arrange a replacement, refund, or another appropriate resolution. Return shipping will not be charged when the problem results from our error.
